Having recently moved to Palm Beach Gardens after spending three years in the UK, I am now available for lessons and training, instructing all levels ages 4 and up.
In my studies at Colorado State and at the University of Colorado in Boulder I gained vast knowledge of animal care and equine science, which later helped in a certification as veterinary assistant. During my time at Colorado State University I competed on the intercollegiate show jumping team.
I was accepted to veterinary school in 2009, six months before receiving my Master’s degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. At which time I received a special opportunity to travel, train and manage A level hunter jumpers and Olympic level eventers. Over the past 5 years I have been privileged to travel to Canada, UK, US and the British Virgin Islands working with competition horses.
While in the UK I was certified by the British Horse Society in Riding and Road Safety, completed my PTT instructor certification and became a certified Pony Club Instructor for the North Norfolk Pony Club. I split my remaining time instructing three day eventing at Blackwater Farm in Norfolk and giving guest lectures at Easton College to first year college students on the topic of working as a professional in the equine industry.
On multiple occasions I was hired as a Jockey for British Eventing as well as British Show Jumping. At Blackwater Farm in Norfolk I was Chief Cross Country steward for all BE certified events. I competed my own horse, Opal, in BE and BSJA.
During the summer of 2010 I managed a 12-horse facility for a private client. In 2011 I became a Kerrits ambassador to represent my favorite brand during competitions.
My current and future desire is to have a lifelong carrier working in a field that brings me challenges, excitement and joy.
