About the Trainer:
Jody Ambrose offers dressage training and instruction from ground work through Grand Prix, for any breed of horse and skill level of rider. Her emphasis is on correct basics, harmony between horse and rider, and keeping horses and riders healthy, strong and motivated to work.
A former Young rider champion, Jody earned her USDF Bronze, silver and gold medals by the age of 23 and became a licensed "L" judge before the age of 30. She also served two terms as president of CDS-SD, and has coached numerous riders to year-end titles and awards. In addition to riding and teaching full time, in recent years she has pursued postgraduate level education and practical expeience in animal training across many species, and is now a certified behavior consultant specializing in systematic, behavior-based approach which can increase the effectiveness of training in any discipline, by improving communication and trust between horses and their people.
Jody is based at RidgeMar in Del Mar, California, featuring a new regulation dressage court with top-of-the-line all weather footing,mirrors, and lights. Ideally located five minutes from the beach and within a half mile of Horsepark, yet secluded in a gorgeous coastal valley, RidgeMar offers perfect weather, a laid-back, inviting atmosphere and safe, well-maintained facility with 3 daily feedings, an Equiciser, and access to trails.
Jody offers individual lessons as well as customized training packages, a Riding simulator, full or partial care, and vet rehab services. She teaches regular clinics throughout the U.S.
