Sales Description:
Sire: Don Nobless
Grandsire: Dancier
Dams Sire: Starlight

Dona Contessa aka “Tess” is an exceptional 2017 black Oldenburg mare schooling 4th level. Tess has a wonderful mind and, having been trained by a Grand Prix professional, is a pleasure to work with. Very comfortable to ride. Has clean changes. Easy to handle and very safe to ride. Tess’s lateral work is lovely with natural swing and engagement from the hind end, and she’s light off the aids with nice collection. A lovely young mare to enjoy up the levels, Tess would be best suited for a young, junior, or amateur rider.

Her Sire, Don Nobless is an ultramodern Hanoverian stallion with proven bloodlines and international class presence. He proudly represents the world-renowned Donnerhall dynasty with the influence of his sire Dancier and his damsire Don Davidoff by Don Gregory. With the beauty-marked influence of the improvement sire Matcho AA in Don Nobless’ third generation, it is no surprise that this stallion reliably produces exquisitely chiseled features and modern expression in his get. Additionally, Don Nobless shows tremendous ability for the collected movements, which greatly contributes to his promise as a top international competitor. His natural brilliance and abundant athletic potential coupled with his wonderful character helped make him the second highest priced horse sold at the 2012 PSI Auction, where Harmony Sporthorses secured this stallion.

Her Grandsire, Dancier qualified as a young stallion twice for the Warendorf National Championships where he celebrated the first of many successes. He was the authoritative winner of his performance test and stallion licensing and had already been proclaimed in 2006 to be the best 4 yr-old Hanoverian stallion. This was due in part to winning the bronze medal at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf as well as being the reserve champion at the Hanoverian State Championships in Verden. His success in sport and breeding has also won him the “Freiherr von Stenglin” and “Burchard Mueller” awards. As a six year-old stallion, Dancier qualified for the finals at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf and celebrated his first successes in the advanced class at the youthful age of eight.

Dancier is a son of the top class dressage progenitor, De Niro, this noble, attractive black stallion appears on the way to his own excellence as a sire. He won the Hamburg Derby Grand Prix and was the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year due to his own performance in sport and his outstanding success as a sire. At the 2013 Oldenburg licensing, a son of De Niro out of a Rosario – Feiner Stern mare was the crowned as the champion of the licensing.
